Aktiv and Galaxy’s project is located in one of the most attractive locations in Sofia - next to the intersection of Tsarigradsko Shosse Blvd. and Brussels Blvd.
The building is a multifunctional complex of offices, financial, commercial and entertainment facilities. It consists of a tall 24-storey building, a low 8-storey building, 3 ground floors and 4 underground levels. The 104m tall office tower will form the city silhouette on Tsarigradsko Shosse Blvd, the busiest transport artery in the capital, becoming an important urban landmark.

The building is designed with a number of passive energy saving measures that increase the energy efficiency of the building without rising its cost. One of the passive solutions is the rounding of the corners of the building in plan which reduces the outer surface of the facade by 7% and decreases the amount of energy lost through it. This solution also improves the aerodynamic behavior of the tall body, which leads to a lower wind load on the facade.
The concept for the exterior is based on the idea of an adaptive façade cladding, creating an optimal indoor working atmosphere, protecting the building from the negative effects of the environment through simple but effective architectural techniques.
Three factors were studied: overheating of the facade by the sun, the levels of external noise, and the unfavorable views, and depending on the concentration of their influence on the orientation and height of the building, measures were taken to limit them for each part of the facade.
