Sofia Square is a large-scale multifunctional project for the regeneration of an old industrial zone in the heart of Sofia.
 
The Sophia Square project consists of a residential, business and commercial park with a total built-up area of ​​280,000 m2, located on a 105,000 m2 site.
 
The project provides for sustainable combination of various functions, distributed in a complex of 15 buildings: offices, homes, hotel, event center, exhibition hall, medical center, sports and SPA center, restaurants, market, kindergarten, shops and more.
 
The project develops a high-quality and human-friendly public urban environment, which consists of several interconnected park areas, artificial lakes and other water bodies, playgrounds and sports facilities, accessible to the public and located among greenery.
 
The transformation of a former industrial zone in the heart of Sofia into a vibrant multifunctional urban area which offers a variety of activities will be a positive example for other similar areas in the city.
 
The planned functional mix will provide a lively urban environment 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.

The relocation of cars to the periphery and underground will create a vast urban environment without vehicles on the ground floor and will open up space for pedestrians and cyclists.
 
Green areas and water bodies will be open to the public and will increase the quality of living in the area.
 
In the restored historic building - the heart of the project - will be located a multifunctional public center including: a food market, cultural center, event center and winter garden.
 
The complex provides a large sports club with several indoor and outdoor sports facilities, gym, spa and swimming pool to meet consumers’ needs in every season.
 
In the open park there is a space for modern art installations, which is expected to attract external visitors and enliven the urban environment.
 
The urban structure is diverse - each building is planned with different sizes and architecture, corresponding to the scale of the environment.
 
A sustainable approach has been applied in the design with care for the human scale, pedestrian spaces, energy efficient buildings, reuse of rainwater, sustainability certification, etc.
 
The connection with Vitosha Mountain is preserved by planning visual ‘corridors’ with beautiful views of the mountain.
 
By changing the image of the former industrial zone will be activated investment interest in the western territories of Sofia
