A and A Architects were awarded the First Prize - Golden Vizar in the competition for "Secondary City Center - Sofia Central Station", organized by the Vizar Foundation and Sofia Municipality.

The project we participated in offers a radical change in the functioning of the urban environment, giving preference to people instead of cars.

We have developed a concept for the deployment of various functions and the construction of a suitable architectural and urban environment to revitalize the space 24 hours - 7 days a week.

We proposed the location of important cultural and entertainment sites and the construction of large-scale public spaces. We paid tribute to the important views of the city and Vitosha, the traditional for the center neighborhood structure and the legacy of modernism from the second half of the 20th century.

We are glad that these ideas were highly appreciated by the prestigious international jury and by the Chief Architect of Sofia.

We hope that this competition will be the first step towards the revitalization of the northern regions of Sofia. We believe that this project can become a reality with the joint efforts of the municipality, businesses and citizens.
