"PlanetUm" Burgas is the new children's science center, housed in the building of the Sea Station - Burgas. It encourages learning through play and creates a stimulating setting for young and old to gain knowledge and feel like discoverers while having fun. Interactive educational installations are related to the sciences, technologies, underwater archeology, astronomy, and to the ways in which we can protect the environment.
PlanetUm contains three exhibition areas and 20 educational installations, divided into three categories: "Innovation", "Energy" and "Discovery". The building also provides an opportunity for out-of-classroom lessons in chemistry and physics to take place, as well as various experiments in the STEM subjects (Science - Technology - Engineering - Mathematics).
A&A Architects designed the reconstruction of the Sea Station for the creation of the children's science center, while the visual communication and the exhibition were prepared by Rositsa Raleva and Poststudio - Mariana Sarbova and Adriana Sarbova.
Partners in the implementation of the project are the Ministry of Energy, DPPI Port of Burgas, Municipality of Burgas, Muzeiko Foundation, Shell, Woodside Energy and Repsol.
