Building № 5 is one of the first projects by A&A Architects after the establishment of the office in 2005.
With this project A&A Architects made a statement for their future work in the field of complex geometric shapes and the challenges of non-standard architectural design.
Building 5 is part of the last stage of development of Business Park Sofia, the largest private project in the field of real estate in Bulgaria.
Despite its relatively small size compared to the neighbouring buildings, due to its unique architectural character, Building 5 is the most distinctive building in the Business Park.
Building 5 – BPS
Building 5 has two faces: one to the central part of the Business Park- solved with smooth curves in the shape of its volumes, and the other to the rear of the park, where it makes references to the architecture of the existing surrounding buildings.
The shape of the building is influenced by the careful study of the coordinate systems of the existing buildings in the Park, the movement of pedestrians and the attempts for directing them towards certain spaces.
The architectural image is intertwined with unconventional solutions for standard building elements and a modern reading of the synthesis between architecture, technology and applied art.
A characteristic part of the image are the elements of twisted aluminum sheet specifically created by A&A Architects for the facade of the building.
The building has won a number of prestigious awards.
